Update:

Our sweet Grace past away at home 1 year after her rescue, surrounded by her 12 brothers, she was loved and care until her last minute.

Growing old is never easy, especially if you are an abandoned dog. That’s how we found this senior canine, limping by herself along a major road in Playa del Carmen. It was clear to see that she had been hurt by other street dogs , as she was slowly limping and there were traces of fresh blood at different parts of her grey coat.

Once we were able to gain her trust by offering food and fresh water, we got Gracie into our jeep and immediately took her to the vet. She was cleaned, bathed and all wounds treated. We conducted  TVT test and removed her ticks. We placed her in a temporary foster home, where she starting to recuperate from her wounds.
Next testing will include, Snap 4Dx and basic blood work.

Approximate cost to rehabilitate for adoption is $3,800 Mexican Pesos. Gracie wants to thank everyone in advance who supports her through this process.
