K9 Lifesavers Mexico Dog Rescue

K9 Lifesavers Mexico is a non profit dog rescue organization located in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico, dedicated to saving lives of abused and abandoned Mexican street dogs.

The majority of our efforts are directed to the assistance of the street dogs that arrive at CENCAAZ    Centro de Control Animal, Asistencia y Zoonosis   also known as the Municipal Dog Pound, that is now being converted into a rehabilitation center. These dogs are walked every morning by generous volunteers from the local community and even tourists staying in Playa del Carmen for a few weeks who want to donate their time.

Through your donations, K9 Lifesavers helps to get these dogs vetted for health issues and we focus on getting them ready for adoption. Our main focus is to assist with various initial clinical testing ( blood tests, ultra-sounds and X-rays )  with selected dogs,  as  well as  guaranteeing  that these rescued dogs get the necessary monthly medicine to help keep them in a healthy condition for their future adoption.

K9 Lifesavers Mexico also uses  received donations  to  support the  efforts of our private rescues,  which helps to ensure more street dogs are saved from a life of abandonment and misery.
