Our Organization
K9 Lifesavers Mexico is a nonprofit dog rescue organization based in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, dedicated to saving abused and abandoned Mexican street dogs.
We work closely with CENCAAZ (the Municipal Dog Pound, now transitioning into a rehabilitation center), where many rescued dogs receive daily walks from dedicated local volunteers and visiting tourists.
Through donations, we provide essential veterinary care, including medical testing, treatments, and monthly medications to prepare dogs for adoption. We also support private rescues and place dogs in foster homes where they can heal, regain trust, and prepare for loving forever homes — both nationally and internationally.
Together, we are saving lives and building a more compassionate future for Mexico’s street dogs.
